- Maintained and developed performance improvements to the database replication system responsible for replicating performance data from internal database to internally provisioned or customer provided database, supporting MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift.
- Developed archival tools and libraries for compressing performance data from already completed tests into various combinations of CSV and JSON, as well as supporting multiple types of compression in cloud or local file storage.
- Developed multi-threaded daemon services making use of Redis queues for state management to handle automated data replication, deletion and cleanup of old data, and archiving and compressing less frequently accessed performance data.
- Migrated backend endpoints to use async and created an async version of the core websocket client.
- Wrote multiple command line tools with Click for archiving and querying, fetching, and streaming archived data, as well as interacting with archive jobs in progress.

- Automated the collection of environmental sensor data from Raspberry Pi mushroom microfarms over MQTT into CSVs in cloud storage.
- Developed prototype backend services for controlling microfarms by sending MQTT commands and receiving environmental data, storing data and command history in a time-series database, and web API endpoints.
- Developed daemons and UIs to run on the next generation of microfarm controllers that would interface with industrial PLCs over MQTT, responsible for receiving commands and updating sensor data over the internet and contained a web interface for local or VPN accessible management.

- Lead the adoption of GraphQL for use in new Flask micro-services API, working closely with front-end developers, and writing test suites for smooth TDD process with a fully remote team.
